Axolotl

This fella almost looks like some strange fantasy creature, doesn't he? He's called the Mexican Salamander or the Tiger Salamander.

"Ordinarily, amphibians undergo metamorphosis from egg to larva (the tadpole of a frog is a larva), and finally to adult form. The Axolotl, along with a number of other amphibians, remains in its larval form throughout its life. This means that it retains its gills and fins, and it doesn't develop the protruding eyes, eyelids and characteristics of other adult salamanders."

A mom and her 3 boys decide to take the same photo 20 years later, for their father's birthday present. Notice how they have pretty much the same expressions, posture and clothes! :)

Hundertwasser

Try to pronounce this name: Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Quite a name!
Mr. Hundertwasser died in the year 2000. He was from Austria (a country south of Germany), and he designed real buildings that look a lot like Dr. Seuss creations.
